Jason Barnard

Jason Barnard serves as our Family Minister. He and his wife Christina started working with Forsythe in June 2005.  They have been married for 16 years.  They first met when Jason became the youth minister at the Rocky Branch church of Christ 19 years ago where Christina had been volunteering her time serving their youth program.

All but one of their years of ministry have been spent serving Louisiana congregations where Jason has served as a youth, preaching, family, and associate minister.  No matter what title Jason has held he has always been drawn to reaching out to young people and their families with the hope of Christ.

Jason graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1996 with a Bachelors Degree in Bible. He has a Masters Degree in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation from ACU and specialty certificates in Mediation and Advanced Mediation – Marital Disputes. He offers professional Mediations, Consultations, and Conflict Resolution Seminars for a variety of groups and individuals that desire to prevent, manage, and overcome the stresses of conflict.

While serving the South Baton Rouge Church of Christ, Jason and Christina were blessed with their first biological children, Allen and Griffin.  Shortly after their birth, Jason and Christina believed it was time to bring the grandchildren closer to their grandparents in Northeast LA.

Having been raised in the Monroe area, Jason believes it is an honor to serve with a community of believers that he has admired for years.  They believe their children are being tremendously blessed by a congregation filled with young families and people of all ages who have a passion for protecting and blessing newer generations with the love of Christ.
